17 Days Until Pitchers and Catchers

In less than 17 days pitchers and catchers begin to report to spring training. The smell of freshly cut grass will be in the air and hot dogs will be cooking on the grill. The sounds of the ball hitting the mitt will be in ballparks all around the Grapfruit and Cactus Leagues. For the next 30 days I am going to preview each team starting in the National League East with the defending champion Philadelphia Phillies. There are still a few A-list free agents on the market so they will not be included in the previews, but I will comment on them once they sign with a team. There are only a few players including Manny Ramirez, Ben Sheets, Oliver Perez, and Adam Dunn that would improve the team's chances for the upcoming season. For the most part every team is done signing players and prepared to start the season with what they have reporting to camp.
