BASEBALLER.COM AWARDS THRU JUNE

The baseball season is now three months complete so here are the Baseballer.com awards through the month of June. These awards are based on if the regular season was completed on Monday.
PLAYOFF TEAMS:
NL EAST - Phillies
NL CENTRAL - Cubs
NL WEST - D-Backs
NL WC - Cardinals
AL EAST - Rays
AL CENTRAL - White Sox
AL WEST - Angels
AL WC - Red Sox
The playoff teams have not changed from a month ago. The Marlins, Dodgers and Twins have mnimized the gaps in their perspective divisions but the same teams continue to hold the divisional leads.
NL MVP - Lance Berkman (HOU)
Berkman is on a team that struggled through June but he continues to stay on pace for the Triple Crown. He is batting .365 (2nd in NL) with 22 home runs (3rd in NL) and 68 RBIs (T-1st in NL).
AL MVP - Josh Hamilton (TEX)
The award still goes to Hamilton despite the Rangers are third in the AL West. He is batting .312 with 19 home runs and 80 RBIs. He deserves this award after turning his career around.
NL CY YOUNG - Brandon Webb (ARI)
Webb struggled last month but he is still 12-4 with a 3.21 ERA. The Diamondbacks have been in first place since the start of the season and he is the ace of the staff.
AL CY YOUNG - Joe Saunders (LAA)
Saunders has helped carry the Angels to first place in the AL West. The Angels have been without Kelvim Escobar for the entire season and John Lackey for most of the season so they looked to Saunders to carry the load. He is 11-4 with a 3.06 ERA and could be the American League starting pitcher in the All-Star Game.
NL MANAGER OF THE YEAR - Tony La Russa (STL)
La Russa deserves this award because his pitching staff has been put together using Scotch tape and they are still in the playoff race. They have been without Chris Carpenter and Mark Mulder, until last Friday when Mulder was activated from the disabled list. Jason Isringhausen, Adam Wainwright and Albert Pujols have all been on the disabled list this season and yet they continue to win.
AL MANAGER OF THE YEAR - Joe Maddon (TB)
Has turned around one of the worst franchises in baseball. They are on-pace to win 100 games and reach the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
NL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR - Kosuke Fukudome (CHC)
Not many players to choose from in the National League but he deserves the award after batting .296 with 34 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He is one of the reasons the Cubs have the best record in the National League.
AL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR - Evan Longoroa (TB)
He has struggled at the plate with only a .267 batting average but he is still one of the best all-around young players in the game. He has 15 home runs and 47 RBIs after being promoted from Triple-A three weeks into the season. The Rays are going to rely on Longoria if they are going to make this playoff push.
