Here are some of the highlight's from last week's action.
-Marlins and Dodgers continue streaking as the Marlins have won seven straight and the Dodgers are at nine games.
-Twins’ Jason Kubel becomes the third player this season to hit-for-the-cycle. Usually there is about one cycle every year and we have already seen three in the first two weeks.
-Indians tied a club record when they scored 14 runs in one inning against the Yankees Saturday and set the major league record for most runs in the second inning. They defeated the Yankees 22-4.
-The first regular season game is played at the new Yankee Stadium, but the Indians defeated the Yankees, 10-2, after a nine-run seventh inning.
-Gary Sheffield becomes the 25th player to hit 500 home runs, and the first to reach the milestone as a pinch hitter.
